East Coast Large Scale Train Show
Although not a Club
function, many PGRS members attended the ECLSTS in York, PA March 27 and
28th. The show featured a large vendor area, an equally
large display area for Garden Railway club layouts, and the “Dave Bodnar
Stage.” Dave presented a PowerPoint and demonstration of Aristo-Craft’s
new Revolution radio remote control system. He also demonstrated and
explained how to construct many of the unique electronic gadgets he has
shared with PGRS.
During the afternoon
some of the ladies went shopping and restaurant scouting. On the
recommendation of the scouts, Friday evening the “group” (Dave and Lois
Bodnar, Larry and Janet Marcinko, Charlie and Dee Christ, Alycefaye and
Paul Stewart, Sondra and John Wiggins, Justin and Don Rowley, and Bill
and Jill Fallecker) went to the White Rose for dinner. Sometime when
you have a chance ask Janet about the huge crab leg, and ask Bill about
cooking “on-the-rocks.” Following an excellent dinner the group formed
a convoy and traveled to the local Dairy Queen for dessert.
