Fresh Apple Bars

3 eggs

1 ¾ cup White sugar

1 cup cooking oil (Crisco)

Beat above ingredients well:

Sift together:

2 cups all-purpose flour

½ tsp. salt

1 tsp. baking soda

½ tsp. cinnamon

Add to egg mixture and beat. Fold in 2 cups sliced apples and 1 cup chopped nuts (use mixer at low speed) Pour into a greased and floured pan approximately 15 ½ X 10 ½ X 1 inch or 9 X 13-inch pan. Bake 350 degree for 40 to 45 minutes. Remove from oven and cool. Cover with sifted powder sugar. Cut into bars.
